"What is going on?" In Memory of Christine Morris5-6-1956 to 10-24-2008It absolutely breaks my heart to share the following news with you. Our dear friend and true Shambhala Warrior, Christine Morris was killed in a bus accident this past Friday, Oct. 24, en route to La Paz, Mexico where she was planning to study Spanish. Christine was an integral part of our community having gone through the entire undergraduate and graduate programs of Shambhala training and attending 2 Warrior Assemblies over the last 2 years. She was also our shrine keeper, coming here every Thursday to clean and tend to the shrine. Her generosity, humor and songwriting talent inspired us and gave us fresh looks at our experience. We will miss Christine and her amazing spirit and we wish her a peaceful journey as she travels through this time of transition. The ABQ Shambhala Center held a Sukhavati Ceremony (buddhist funeral service) for Christine on Oct. 30th. Please keep Christine, her husband Harry, sister Elsa, and their family in your thoghts and practice. Other News:
