| Albuquerque Shambhala Center Membership
Becoming a member of the Albuquerque Shambhala Meditation Center is a statement about your personal inspiration, curiosity, and commitment to the path of awakening. It means participating in a community of practitioners who aspire to relate to each other with honesty, warmth, and openness. We inspire one another to deepen our practice of mindfulness, awareness and compassion. Membership is a commitment to meditation practice, dharma study, and to become involved in the activities at the Center.
In addition, members become a crucial part of the financial and volunteer support of the Center. Without our community's financial and volunteer support, the Center could not offer all of the wonderful things that we do. Payment of membership dues is the financial backbone of our Center. Becoming a member is a way
we express appreciation for what the Center
provides and help make it available to others.
Becoming a member does not mean you agree with everything you hear or read at the center, but that you maintain a willingness to work with your own mind, your meditation practice, and your intention to remain open-hearted and awake.
The Albuquerque Shambhala Center relies on member dues and donations to cover its basic operating expenses. Each person decides what level of support fits her or his situation.
Monthly, quarterly or annual payments can be mailed directly to the Center or dropped in the donation bowl in the shrine room. Or, to keep things simple, make a monthly donation by clicking one of these buttons:
